The theme and identity for this year’s Gala, Your City Your Story, illustrates how independent journalism and the people of Chicago create our storied city.
The printed invitation unfolded to reveal what was to come while driving people to visit the microsite to RSVP for the celebration and support what they love.
The microsite played many roles—from collecting RSVPs, to learning more about the event, to sharing your own story. And as the event grew closer, the site expanded culminating in the livestream of the Gala. View the site here.
The colorful brand provided flexibility and helped individualize our communications with save-the-dates, event updates, and thank you messages.
The celebration wasn’t complete without a customized cocktail kit. WBEZ partnered with Sipwith to create cocktail kits that were sent to supporters. We branded the kits with stickers and recipe cards to ensure the big event was celebrated right.
